Hiring a Western Nanny in Asia

For some families, having a full-time or part-time/ wrap-around-care professional nanny is an essential part of life in the UK or Europe in order to facilitate the happy, cohesive functioning of a dual income family.

One of the benefits of relocating to Asia can been seen as the opportunity to hire (relatively) low-cost, in-home domestic help and childcare. And while this is true, a Foreign Domestic Helper is not a substitute for a professional nanny (see the differing job descriptions below).

Surprisingly, there are very few Western, professional and highly experienced nannies currently in Hong Kong and Singapore and those that are here are highly sought after. Therefore there are two main routes to hiring a Western, professional nanny in Hong Kong:
1. Bring your current nanny with you when relocating
2. Speak to Parental Choice about hiring a professional nanny from the UK or Europe and relocating them to your new home
